Columbia, S.C. - SEC Commissioner Mike Slive named 51 Gamecock student-athletes to the 2006-2007 SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll Tuesday.
South Carolina led the conference in honorees. The University of Kentucky was close behind with 50 honorees and the University of Florida was third in the conference with 48 honored students. Overall, 454 student-athletes were named to the Academic Honor Roll. The Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2006 Spring, Summer, and Fall terms.
The football program led the University with 18 honorees, with the men's soccer program following close behind with 16. Women's soccer had 11 honorees and women's volleyball had 6.
