Erika P. Goodwin is in her fifth year as head cheerleading coach and spirit coordinator at the University of South Carolina. She finished the 2008 season with a 4th place finish in Division IA at the National Cheerleaders Association's Collegiate Championships, as well as 10th place in All-Girl Division I. Goodwin earned fifth- and eighth-place finishes for the All-Girl team and Co-Ed team, respectively, at the NCACNC in 2006 and led the squads to seventh-place finishes in 2007.

Goodwin is a native of Columbia, S.C. A former Gamecock cheerleader and captain of the 1999 cheerleading team, Goodwin earned her Bachelor of Science in exercise science in 1999.

Goodwin earned her Master of Arts in exercise physiology from the University of Louisville. A former Louisville cheerleader and a captain of the 2002 cheerleading team, Goodwin worked to combine her exercise science background with her cheerleading experience through writing an article explaining a one-year exercise training regimen for the college level cheerleader published in the December 2004 issue of National Strength and Conditioning Journal.

Goodwin lives in Lexington with her husband, Justin, and their sons, Logan and Dillon.
