Christian Robledo helped guide the 800-relay team to a 12th place finish at the NCAA Championships Friday

ATLANTA, Ga. - South Carolina's 800-free relay team swam a time of 6:30.58 to place 12th at the Men's NCAA Championships Friday. This marks the highest finish for the Gamecocks at the meet so far. With the finish, USC earns four honorable mention All-America honors as Dan White, Kyle Cormier, Colby Mack and Christian Robledo swam the event.

The Gamecocks picked up 10 points with the finish to move into a spot on the scoreboard. USC is currently 31st with one more day of competition left.

Individually, Mack swam the 200-free and recorded a time of 1:38.03 to finish 32nd. Freshman diver David Ovelson competed once again, this time on the three-meter board and recorded a score of 280.50 to finish 24th, his best finish of the meet.

In the final day of competition, USC will have Robledo swim the 100-free.
