NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tre Kelley hit a driving layup with 3.6 seconds left to lift South Carolina to a 66-64 overtime victory over Vanderbilt on Wednesday night.

Kelley hit six 3-pointers and scored a career-high 29 points as South Carolina (10-7, 1-3) rallied from a late deficit to stun Vanderbilt (11-4, 2-2) and pick up its first Southeastern Conference victory of the season.

Kelley's final basket came after Vanderbilt's Mario Moore tied the game with a 3-pointer with 16 seconds left in regulation. Moore missed a long 3-point attempt at the buzzer.

Dwayne Day scored 17 points for the Gamecocks, who won at Vanderbilt for the eighth time in their last 10 visits.

South Carolina outscored Vanderbilt 7-0 in the final three minutes of regulation to force overtime as Vanderbilt missed four free throws in the final minute.

Shan Foster made five 3-pointers and scored 17 points to lead the Commodores. Moore scored 12 points, while DeMarre Carroll and Julian Terrell scored 10 points each.

Brandon Wallace sent the game into overtime with a three-pointer with eight seconds remaining that capped a 7-0 South Carolina run in the final three minutes of regulation.

Derrick Byars missed a 17-footer on Vanderbilt's last possession of regulation. Vanderbilt went scoreless for the final 4:21 of regulation and the first 4:28 of overtime.

South Carolina committed just five turnovers and made a season-high 12 3-pointers.

Vanderbilt shot 42 percent from 3-point range for the game.
