South Carolina got third and fourteenth place finishes from co-captains Jenny Lake and Kinsey Eschenburg, respectively, to finish fourth out of eight teams at the Winthrop University Fall Classic in Rock Hill, S.C.

Davidson won the team championship with 44 points, edging out Furman who had 49. Host Winthrop placed third with a score of 84.

Stephanie Vangsnes of Winthrop University took top honors with a time of 14:23. Her 4 kilometer time was twenty-two seconds faster then the second place finisher.

This was the last regular season meet for South Carolina. The Gamecocks will have next weekend off before they travel to Gainesville, FL on November 4, to compete at the Southeastern Conference Championships.
